From Retro: Kimmer Last weekend I was invited to attend Flintstock at the Flint Institute of Art. They had a huge museum exhibit of many priceless original rock posters and new poster art as well. Retro:Kimmer in front of "Vanessa" What I found the most interesting was that the MC5 have the most poster art presence in this book. MC5 posters were everywhere in the exhibit. Their posters remain ultra coolest of all rock posters in rock art history. If you'd like to own this book you can get a copy of it HERE Look who has top billing over Chuck Berry... Gary Grimshaw Poster This book covers the original hand bill posters (mostly text, not artistic) of the 1950's, the psychedelic 1960s, and the punk era of the 1970s and early 80s. As well as anything else that occurred from the 1950s until the early 80's. There's so much material and commentary here that the posters are shrunk down to fit as many examples as possible. There's full index at the end of the book, and an exhaustive bibliography. This is an absolute must own book on the subject of rock posters. Gary Grimshaw Poster
